DS1000/2000 System Software (Version 03.22.12)

Software version 03.22.12 is required for compatibility with the DSX SLIU-B and COIU PCBs. Review the DS1000 or DS2000 Release Notes for more. Additional Release Notes are included in the software file. You must use IntraMail Utility version 1.2 or higher with this release.

** In version 03.**.** DS2000, upgrading your system software also automatically upgrades the firmware in your ATRU (analog trunk) and ASTU (analog station) PCBs.

  • After upgrading or restoring your database, it may take 3 or 4 minutes for the firmware in your analog trunk and station cards to finish upgrading. Do not reset the system during the firmware upgrade - just let the process finish.
  • For example, after upgrading or restoring your database:
    - Wait for the yellow LEDs on your analog trunk cards to go out and the green LEDs to flash normally.

** If upgrading from version 3 software prior to 03.10.08 using telephone programming, you must reprogram the options in 1808-IntraMail Subscriber Mailbox Options, 8005-IntraMail Master Mailbox Options, and 8006-IntraMail Routing Mailboxes after the upgrade. To avoid having to reprogram these options, use the DS1000/2000 System Administrator to backup and restore the site database.

** When using the DS1000/2000 System Administrator to back up and restore site data, be sure to use the latest version for both operations. This ensures that all site data can be restored, and is very important during a software upgrade.

DS1000/2000 System Administrator (PC Program) (Version 3.21.03)

There are two versions of the DS1000/2000 System Administrator available for download.

  • Use System Administrator 3.21.03 for Windows NT, 2000, and XP.
  • Use System Administrator 3.22.01 for Windows Vista.

** The System Administrator requires version 03.**.** system software, CPU P/N 80025B (in DS2000), and cabinet P/N 80200A (in DS1000).

The System Administrator (PC Program) is a Windows-based application you can use for programming the telephone system and maintaining site databases, instead of using the conventional telephone programming. The PC Program provides:

  • On-Line Programming (Direct Connection)
With the PC connected to the telephone system’s serial port, you can make immediate changes to the telephone system programming. While connected, the PC Program also allows you to save your new data to a file on the PC hard disk, or upload a “template” database from your PC to the system.
  • Remote Programming (Modem Connection)
Using a modem connected to your PC and the remote system, you can customize a customer’s system without leaving your office. Remote Programming requires customer-provided modems and an available trunk circuit at the remote site.
  • Off-Line Programming
With Off-Line Programming, the PC Program allows you to set up a database on your PC off line, connect to the telephone system, and upload the entire custom configuration.
  • Database Save and Restore
Use the PC Program to save a site’s data to your PC hard disk. You can easily restore the saved data later on, if required.

Minimum Requirements

  • Windows NT, 2000, XP and above.
  • P330 with 128 MB RAM.
  • 256 color 800 x 600 display (1240 x 1024 optimal).
  • Do not use large fonts.
  • 40 mBytes of available hard disk space.

USB-to-Serial Adaptor Compatibility

This version of the System Administrator provides enhanced support for USB-to-Serial Adaptors with Windows XP and Windows 2000. The following devices were tested for compatibility:

  • IOGear GUC-232A
  • MCT U232-P9
  • Targus PA070

When using these adaptors, be sure to use the drivers that were packed with the adaptor. Do not use the "generic" Windows drivers.
